Quick recap  from last session

In this session, we learned about protecting the six-directions. The six directions represent different relationships and duties that protect and guide us in life. The six-directions symbolise the essential roles of various figures in our spiritual and worldly well-being, and their reciprocal duties and responsibilities to each other.

Key Teachings & Takeaways:

  • East – Mother and Father: The East represents our parents, and we are taught to honor and respect them. By doing so, we protect the “East” by maintaining gratitude for the care and support they’ve given us.

  • South – Teacher: The South represents our teachers, who guide us in our education. We learn to respect and honour our teachers, showing gratitude for their guidance and maintaining a cordial relationship with them.

Next Session: 30. Western Direction - Spouse and Family

Next Sutta study session: 23rd February 2025 @ SUnday School building
